At Anindo, we believe that beautiful, long-lasting furniture starts with the very best materials
We carefully select woods that are not only strong and stunning but also perfect for their purpose
From the timeless beauty of Teak for outdoor pieces to the rich warmth of Mahogany and Mindi for indoor treasures, each wood is chosen for its unique character and durability
We want you to feel confident knowing exactly what makes each material special, helping you choose the perfect piece that will last for years to come
Why Choose Indonesian Teak?
Teak is our go-to wood for furniture that needs to last, especially outdoors where it faces weather and wear
When people think of classic Indonesian furniture, teak often comes to mind first—it’s tough, naturally resistant to moisture and insects, and develops a warm, rich color over time
We source teak sustainably from Indonesia, where it grows with a superior grain and texture that gives furniture an unmatched strength and beauty
Understanding Teak Quality Levels
Think of wood quality like diamonds – different grades mean slightly different characteristics and prices
Our most popular options are standard quality woods. While rarer, higher grades exist, we focus on standard wood because it offers excellent value and strength
These standard woods are perfectly good and suitable for great furniture, offering fantastic longevity. For top-quality Teak pieces, Indonesia remains a world leader due to the superior natural qualities of its wood
SUPERIOR Grade (A)
This is the premium choice, made from very old trees—often 70 to 100 years or more
It’s incredibly dense and flawless, but due to careful forest protection efforts, it’s hard to find in large amounts today
The price is sky-high, so most customers opt for something more balanced unless they have a specific need
PREMIUM GRADE (B / C)
Our recommended choice—offering the same great durability and beauty at a more accessible price.
Natural teak has unique character marks:
- Small white streaks
- Tight knots in the wood grain
- Color variations in the grain pattern
These features don’t affect strength. In fact, they add to teak’s natural charm
By selecting Grade B/C, we ensure you get beautiful, sustainable furniture without compromising quality
Perfect for Indoors: Mahogany and Mindi
For beautiful furniture destined for the comfort of your home, we turn to Mahogany and Mindi
Mindi wood is very similar to Mahogany, sharing a beautiful reddish-brown color and a fine, straight grain
Both Mahogany and Mindi are excellent choices for indoor furniture like dining tables, cabinets, and bookshelves. They have a lovely, warm look that complements any room.
While beautiful and strong, these woods are not recommended for outdoor use.
They are best kept safe and dry inside your home where their rich color and fine details can be appreciated for generations.
